Your Idea of Spookey?
Well, since Halloween is around the corner, I figured I could start up a lil "scare" thread. The "game," I guess you could say, is played by listing the place that seems most spookey to you. Be detailed!
Mine would be...
Somewhere out in the Mojave Desert. Some crap poor little town, completely abandonded. Motel, general store, tight allies, run down cars and one strech of highway. Probably one of the quietist places I can think of. Just a ghost town, with nothing but sand and artifacts of a human civilization gone by.. All on a little football field sized village. Stores still stocked with supplies, beds nice and made.. Running water and power. And yet, not a sole is there. For some reason, if I was there, the setting would give me a chill.

Personally, the scariest thing to me would be at night in a vast, rundown urban area that is either mostly or entirely deserted. It would have to be on a new moon with a heavy rain and the majority of street lamps would be either out or flickering.
I'm kind of a rural person so I really dislike the urban sprawl.

Spookiest for me would be:
An old victorian home in the middle of no-where. With the paint peeling off the sides... etc. And have an old lady in it, that just seems too nice.

Parking a block away from the Saddledome Stadium in the bad part of Calgary and having to walk to my car after the Flames just lost to Phoenix.

Church, I'm afraid of most churches.
The whole dark deserted city things though, or something like that, I enjoy that sort of thing because I always think "This would be the perfect setting for me to off someone if I wanted to."
Remember, there's no reason to be scared if you're what people should be scared of.

I know exactly how you feel man. I'm a city boy, tried and true. I hate grass, trees, hiking... not a big fan of nature in general.
Naturally, the scariest place for me would be somewhere out in the woods. It doesn't have to be dark. It could be no moon or bright sunshine and I could be walking with Jesus, Allah and Buddha and I'd still be freaked out.

I wanted the avatars with /Rank to serve as costumes for the PvPers. on halloween. but I think that may end up being too much work for jsut one day costume. lol but it was an interesting idea.

Yes that was freaky.
A little town called Silent Hill gave me the most chills.
Man with the darkness, radio going crazy, me out of ammo, and with only a steel pipe to defend myself against the skinless evil demon children....
Good times. Good times.
Its a game btw. Don't think i could survive in Silent Hill if it were real.

There is a level in Max Payne (PS2 game maybe it was Max Payne 2) where you are in a dark room where it is raining drops of blood and Max can hear his baby screaming non-stop and you have to walk along a line of baby blood suspended in thin air somehow (like a platform game where you can't see far enough because it is so dark LOL). That was really scary and disturbing.
